Artisan Soap
Our natural, handmade soap is made using the slow and traditional cold process method of soap making. We only use natural skin loving ingredients, including nourishing fats and oils, clays, essential oils and botanicals.
Our soap is made in small batches and is then 'cured' for a minimum of 6 weeks which produces a long lasting bar which lathers well and won't strip the skin of its natural oils.
Sodium hydroxide (lye) is used in the soap making process. The chemical reaction between the lye and the fats/oils is called saponification, and this is the process which produces soap. Once this process has completed, all of the lye is used up so there is none remaining in the final soap.
