About the owner!
Researching, studying, formulating and crafting products using natural ingredients has been a part of my story for almost 2 decades now, from when I first began to look at the safety of the personal care and cleaning products in my home to growing businesses around handcrafting these products.
I have a huge interest in aromatherapy and the healing power of plants and I am passionate about finding solutions in nature. I also have a deep desire to reconnect with my Celtic roots and the cyclical nature of the earth, and a return to more traditional and slower ways of being.
I'm a big believer in ritualising self care and making it an important part of our everyday lives. Taking care of ourselves should be a priority because if our cup isn't full, there is no overflow for our loved ones.
Handcrafting natural products is my creative outlet, helps keep my sanity intact in this over stimulating world and is a major part of who I be and it fills my heart with joy to be able to share them with the world,

About the business!
The name of Oak & Sage Apothecary brings together all that I hold dear, connection to the natural world and healing through nature.
The oak tree symbolises strength, resilience and endurance and was revered for its wisdom in Celtic folklore, considered sacred by the Druids. It is also the heart of the Celtic tree of life, representing the interconnectedness of all things and the cycle of life.
Sage is a healing herb and holds spiritual significance for purification and protection from negative energies and symbolises wisdom and protection in Celtic traditions.
An apothecary was a herbalist of ancient times, using plants and other natural resources to create and provide remedies to their community.
All these symbolic meanings come together to create a business name that actually means something to me and is an extension of my own personal beliefs and values.
